Why Not Throw a Creepy Movie Halloween Party?
Halloween is one of our favorite holidays. Autumn coming with cooler weather and colorful leaves, pumpkins carved by parents and kids, trick or treating… Halloween is a fun holiday without the expense of Christmas. Marathons of scary movies on our TVs and available rental movies provide a great party opportunity.
Being terrified is more fun with others. Have a Halloween Scary Movie Night Party. Fright with friends turns into laughter, especially if the food and drinks are great. Whip up some dip for chips, order take out, or have folks brings their favorite party food. Then top it all off with some adult beverages. With creativity, Halloween parties can be inexpensive.

Scary Bloody Mary Shots
For the shots:
150 ml/¼ pint vodka, chilled
250 ml/9 fl oz thin tomato juice, chilled
1 lime, juice only
2 tsp freshly grated horseradish
1 tsp celery salt
a good shake of Tabasco
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
To serve:
1 cucumber, peeled, sliced and very finely shredded
1 tsp cracked black pepper
10 shot glasses, chilled
1. Mix all the ingredients for the shots together. Keep refrigerated in a jug until ready to serve.
2. To serve, place the glasses on a plate or tray pour some Bloody Mary mix into each one. Finish with a little cucumber and a pinch of black pepper.
Makes 20.
Note: Some like it hot, so make a batch of mild and one of hot (use spicy tomato juice). Let guests choose how nuclear they want to go.
Another idea: put the mix in a cauldron and use a ladle to scoop out the witchy brew.
